By using this website, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the website.
If you use the website on behalf of a company or other organisation, you confirm that you may accept these terms on its behalf.

3. Our goods and services
Hydroxi supplies a fuel optimisation system for diesel and petrol internal combustion engines, used in vehicles, generators, marine engines and plant. The system produces oxyhydrogen (HHO) gas on demand from distilled water and feeds it into the engine’s air intake.
Our supply includes installation by our team, with commissioning, calibration and validation of the equipment, and a test certificate and warranty certificate (Terms of Sale, clause 7.5). 4. Cooling-off rights (ECT Act section 44)
If you are a consumer and you buy from us by electronic transaction (for example, by email), section 44 of the ECT Act may give you the right to cancel without reason and without penalty:
- for goods, within seven days after you receive them; or
- for services, within seven days after the agreement is concluded.
If you cancel under section 44, the only charge you may have to pay is the direct cost of returning the goods. If you have already paid, we will refund you in full within 30 days of the date you cancel.
This right does not apply in some cases listed in section 42(2) of the ECT Act, for example to services that began with your consent before the seven days ended, or to goods made to your specifications. It also applies only to consumers as defined in the ECT Act.
Nothing in these terms or in our Terms of Sale limits your rights under section 44 or under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 (CPA). See also our Cancellation and Refund Policy.
5. Website information, calculators and compatibility checker
The information on this website is general information about our products and services. It is not professional, engineering, financial or tax advice for your situation.
Our savings calculator and compatibility checker are planning tools:
- The savings calculator gives an estimate based on the figures you enter and the assumptions shown with it. It is not a promise or a guarantee of any saving.
- The compatibility checker gives an early indication only, based on your answers. It is not a final assessment.
- Actual results vary with the vehicle or machine, the engine, its condition, how it is used and maintained, the fuel, the driver and the operating conditions.
- One of our engineers must confirm that our system suits your engine before we quote or install.
We do not guarantee any particular fuel saving. The only exception is a savings commitment set out in a pilot agreement signed by both parties, which applies on the terms of that agreement only (Terms of Sale, clause 11.2).
6. Accuracy of content
We take reasonable care to keep the website accurate and up to date. However, content may contain errors or become out of date, and we may change it at any time without notice.
Prices, specifications and availability shown on the website are for information only. Your written quotation and our Terms of Sale apply to any order. Products may not always be available (Terms of Sale, clauses 2.3 and 6.3).
7. Links to other websites
The website may link to other websites and services, such as WhatsApp, financiers or social media. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, availability or privacy practices. Their own terms and policies apply when you use them.
8. Acceptable use
When you use the website, you must not:
- break any law or anyone’s rights;
- give false or misleading information, or pretend to be someone else;
- try to gain unauthorised access to the website, its servers or any connected system;
- upload or send viruses or other harmful code;
- interfere with the website’s operation, security or performance, for example by overloading it;
- copy content in bulk or use automated tools to scrape the website without our written permission;
- use the website or its content to send spam or unsolicited marketing.
We may suspend or block access to the website if we reasonably believe these terms have been broken.
9. Intellectual property
The website and its content, including text, images, photographs, graphics, logos, tools, calculators and software, belong to us or to the people who licensed them to us, and are protected by copyright and other laws.
“Hydroxi”, “HIT”, “HIT.africa” and the Hydroxi logo are our trade marks. We have applied to register them.
You may view the website and download or print pages for your own use, including when you are considering a purchase. You may not copy, change, publish, sell or use our content or trade marks for any other purpose without our written permission.
10. Privacy, cookies and security
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect and use your personal information under the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013. Our Cookie Policy explains how we use cookies.
The website uses encrypted connections (HTTPS). We do not take payments through this website and do not store card details on it.
11. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss or damage that arises from your use of, or inability to use, the website or its content, including the calculators and compatibility checker. This includes loss of profit, data or business, and indirect or consequential loss.
This limitation does not apply to loss or damage caused by our gross negligence, wilful misconduct or fraud. It also does not limit or exclude any right you have that the law does not allow us to limit or exclude, including your rights as a consumer under the CPA (in particular sections 48 and 51) and the ECT Act.
Our liability for goods and services we sell is set out in our Terms of Sale, subject always to the law.
12. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify us against any claim, loss or cost (including reasonable legal costs) that arises because you have broken these Terms of Use or used the website unlawfully. This does not apply to the extent that the claim, loss or cost was caused by our own negligence or breach, or where the CPA does not allow it.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with its effective date. Changes apply from that date to your use of the website after it. Changes do not affect any order already concluded, which remains subject to the terms agreed at the time.
14. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms of Use are governed by the law of South Africa, as are our Terms of Sale (clause 1.3). If you are a consumer under the Consumer Protection Act, nothing in these terms limits your right to refer a dispute to the Consumer Goods and Services Ombud, the National Consumer Commission, the National Consumer Tribunal, a provincial consumer court, or any court with jurisdiction, including a Magistrate’s Court or Small Claims Court. Subject to this, you and we consent to the jurisdiction of the High Court of South Africa, Mpumalanga Division, Mbombela. If you are a business customer to whom the Consumer Protection Act does not apply, that court has exclusive jurisdiction.
15. Severability
If any part of these Terms of Use is found to be void, illegal or unenforceable, the rest of the terms remain valid and enforceable.
